Cazenovia College was struggling with an identity crisis that was limiting the College's reach. Once an two-year, all-girls college, Cazenovia College quietly became four-year, co-ed institution in 1984. The College has been struggling to get beyond the image of being an all-women's two year school even though they have been co-ed and four-year for quite some time. The College Street Group spoke with many of the College's professors, students and staff and learned that there are several niches the College has within the higher education market. One of the leaders in Equine Studies, the college is renown for itıs equine training program, equine science and breeding disciplines. The College has a growing art and design program and offers the only all-inclusive elementary education major in New York state. We created an institutional piece that was clear in explaining the transitions the College has undergone in the last 175 years while it drew more attention on the college's major strengths in equine studies, education and theater. The piece served as an annual report for the Board of Directors and alumni and was utilized as an information piece for potential donors to the College.
