Hot off impressive seasons in basketball, football and lacrosse, Syracuse University sought out The College Street Group to redesign game programs for each of the teams. The existing game programs offered spectators little enticement to purchase them. There was no image for the three sports, all national leaders. Football had an impressive bowl victory, the basketball team advanced to the Final Four and the lacrosse team won the national championship. By making the program valuable to the ticket holder, we increased the value from the advertisers perspective. We introduced new concepts such as a tear-away "depth chart flip card" - on one side of the card showed the offensive team for Syracuse with a complete line up listing starters names and numbers. Spectators could reference the card and look down on the field and know instantly who was playing each position. We also incorporated a coloring page for children attending games with their parents. The tear-away coloring page and could be submitted to a weekly coloring contest. The result of the game programs was a dramatic increase in sales and feedback from advertisers was extremely positive. Syracuse University was able to give each team their recognition while raising their advertising rates for the program.
